What does 'No costs and no worries in the first six months' mean?
'No expenses and no worries after purchase' is our promise to you when you buy a pre-owned car with us. But what exactly does this promise entail? Let us explain.
You just spent a lot of money on a new car only to have to spend a lot more within just a few months because it needs maintenance or repairs. Despite having bought a pre-owned car with a warranty or having spent extra money on a warranty...
That won't happen to you if you buy a car from us, we offer you, as part of our most important promise, double coverage. We provide you with a twelve-month warranty and we make sure that the car of your choice does not require any maintenance for a period of 6 months/5000 kilometres. Should anything happen to your car in the first six months that is not covered by the warranty and that is beyond your control? Then we keep our promise and pay the bill.
You purchase a beautiful BMW 3-Series with a 12 month warranty from your local dealership. However, after 2 months of use, the battery dies, so you call the used car company where you bought the car to have it replaced free of charge. After all, you have a 6 month warranty on your BMW, so it won't cost you anything. Sadly, it turns out the exact opposite is the case: the terms and conditions state that the warranty covers the engine and the gearbox, but not the battery. Replacing it will therefore cost you money, despite the warranty.
Had you purchased the same BMW 3-Series from Bynco, you would also have had a 12 month warranty, plus we would have told you that the warranty does not apply to the battery. However, because we promise you no expenses and no worries in the first six months, we would have paid for the replacement without any conditions.
We must be honest, there are situations in which we do not cover the costs:
- If the defect or the maintenance requirement is caused by your actions, e.g. by overloading or incorrect operation of the car, reckless driving and negligence;
- If it is covered by your car insurance or the manufacturer's warranty;
- In the event of external circumstances, i.e. when a defect is caused by water, hail or storm damage, a bad road surface or another road user;
- If no permission has been given for the repair, maintenance or modification (tuning, lowering, etc.) of the car.
Check, check, double check!
With everything from the headlights to the taillights, every vehicle is checked before we deliver it. We check each vehicle on more than 50 aspects and make sure it is in conformity with our strict guidelines. Curious to find out what aspects each car is checked for? Check the checklist here.
Frequently asked questions
Who determines where I can have my car repaired or serviced?
This is a joint decision, made in consultation with you. In most cases, you can choose from a number of garages that are no more than a 30-minute drive from your home, or, depending on the situation, we can recommend a reputable garage or a number of garages. Plus, if you want, we'll make the appointment for you.
Will I have another car at my disposal if my car is at the garage?
Yes, if the repair or maintenance work takes more than 8 hours (excluding waiting and diagnosis time), you are entitled to replacement transport for a maximum of 2 days. The maximum reimbursement for replacement transport is €35 (excluding VAT) per day.
What if my car has a defect after 6 months/5000 kilometers?
After 6 months, you will be responsible for all repair costs, except if you have extended the warranty period to 12 or 18 months. In that case - provided the defect is covered by the warranty - the repair costs are (partly) covered by the Bynco Occasion Warranty. The maintenance costs are not covered by our warranty, so after 6 months/5000 kilometers (whichever comes first) you are responsible for the maintenance costs, even if you have decided to extend the warranty.
